The Philosophy
From the desk of Paul Moran

There are so many different methods, techniques, school’s of thought, and approach’s to Dog Training available to us today.

You can train with food, praise, DOG STOPPERS, play toys or clickers. You can train by touch, with ESP, or force. You can use positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, verbal commands, silent hand signals. You can use ALL TYPES of conditionong. You can use a 6 ft leash, a 10 foot leash a 50 foot leash, 2 leashes, “no leash”, a Halti or Gentle leader... the list goes on and on... and on.

Which method is the best to train your dog? Which technique is most effective? I am not about to even begin to try answering to this question. But, I can comment on it, based on my personal experiences.

I'm not bragging here, but I have trained dogs all over the world. I’ve trained most known breeds (and some unknown to most). I’ve worked with all kinds of people and their dog's, from European housewives to Hollywood celebrities (and many in between). I’ve attended training schools worldwide and some of the worlds best, have been my mentors (and still are). I’ve organized these years of dedication, hard work (and fun) into some kind of order and I call it...“The Moran Method”

The reality of it all is...it’s not really my method...it’s yours. It belongs to every person out there, who owns a dog. And, to every dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

I’m just a guy who choose a certain path on the road of life, and the lessons of that journey, cumulated into a very successful, time tested, training method.

I have however, learned some interesting things from my four (and two) legged friends... along the way.

Read the "concept page" if you are curious, as to what that may be.

P.M.
